We greatly appreciate all that Dr. Schwab, Ag Advisory Member, has done to assist in the furthering of the Dairy Science program here at UW-Platteville.  
Dr. Schwab was on the faculty at the University of New Hampshire for 34 years and 7 years ago founded Schwab Consulting LLC. He received a B.S. degree in Animal Sciences at the University of Wisconsin–Platteville in 1969, a M.S. degree in Dairy Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1970, and joint Ph.D. degrees in Dairy Sciences and Nutritional Sciences in 1974 from UW-Madison. During his tenure as a professor with teaching, research and administrative responsibilities, he provided leadership for numerous departmental and college initiatives. He is recognized internationally for his research on amino acid nutrition of dairy cattle and was a member of the Dairy NRC (2001) Committee, providing leadership for the development of the protein and AA submodel. As a consultant, Dr. Schwab educates dairy nutritionists and producers worldwide on advances in amino acid nutrition and its implications on milk component production, transitional cow health, and efficiency of N utilization.
