The Responsible Recreation Toolkit

Resources to prepare you for a safe and responsible visit.
No matter how you get out, make sure to practice responsible recreation. Here are a few things to remember when visiting our parks:
  • Know before you go. Read up on our tips to make your visit as safe as possible.
  • Leave no trace. Make sure everything you bring to the park leaves with you or is disposed of appropriately in the recycling or trash.
  • Adhere to best practices for avoiding COVID-19. If you're sick, stay home. When at the park, practice social distancing.
  • Follow park policies and signage. View our policies here.
  • Visitors should wear masks inside state park facilities. Visitors are required to follow the mask ordinances of the county they are in or the park rules, whichever are more stringent.
  • Play it safe. Choose lower-risk activities.
