You ready to join us, Mama?
Strength in Motherhood
Each 60-minute workout includes strength training, cardio, and core restoration, all while interacting and bonding with your little ones.
Community Connection
Many of our moms come for the workout and stay for the community. This class is all about self-care in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Okay, I'm ready! What can I expect in class...?

Where do Playa Vista classes meet?
Weekday classes start right outside the playground by the soccer field at Playa Vista Sports Park (13196 Bluff Creek Dr., Playa Vista, CA 90094). There is free lot parking. Saturday classes start at the south end of Crescent Park and meet by the stone statues. There is free street parking. See map below.

...And then what?
We always warm up our bodies while we introduce ourselves and our little ones while answering a fun “Question of the Day”. Once we’re all warmed up and ready to go, we walk/jog/run to our first station.

What will the workout be like?
After the warm-up, the instructor will take you around to various stations throughout the park for a variety of cardio, body toning, and core exercises. We use exercise bands, strollers, and the natural environment to enhance our full-body workout. Instructors will also help keep kiddos entertained with bubbles, songs, and a little stroller jiggle if needed.

I signed up for Stroller Barre or Strides 360 - is that the same thing?
All our stroller fitness classes combine cardio and strength training, just in different formats. Barre focuses on slowing down and working on posture, mobility, and is influenced by, well, barre movements! 360 is a fun mix of agility and strength training that will keep you on your toes. The bottom line is: all workouts can be modified and increased or decreased in intensity to fit YOUR needs!

What do I need to bring?
Just you, your kiddo, stroller, and a mat or blanket for abs and stretching at the end. You do not have to have a jogging stroller, but it helps if you plan to run. If your child is older we suggest bringing snacks and little activities to help keep them entertained. Please also be sure to bring water and sunblock.

Do I have to bring my child?
Nope! We love when mamas come solo and people do it all the time!

How old does my baby have to be?
We recommend waiting until your baby is at least 6 weeks old, which is typically when moms are also cleared for exercise. It’s important you are cleared by your doctor before starting this or any other kind of exercise program. Children must stay in the stroller or in a baby carrier during class unless they are four years old or older. Then they may ride a kickboard or scooter alongside you as long as they stay out of the way of the mamas working out (safety first for everyone!).

What if my baby cries?
Then you’re in good company because they all do at some point! Remember, nobody hears your baby louder than you, and our instructors are always willing to lend a hand to help keep fussy babes happy.

What if I’m new to working out, or haven’t worked out in a long time?
We welcome all levels of fitness in our classes, including pregnant mamas. You took nine months to grow that baby inside you, give yourself the grace to slowly build back your strength and take your time. Be sure to go at your own pace, and always feel free to ask our instructors for modifications. We love when moms listen to their bodies!
