The Annual Interprofessional Practice, Education & Research Symposium (IPER), hosted by Texas A&M University, brought together students and faculty from various healthcare disciplines under this year’s theme: One Health for All, All for One Health. The event emphasized the importance of collaboration across professions to optimize patient care and address health challenges at the human-animal-environment interface.
Hailey Crumpler, a Master of Science in Nutrition student at Texas A&M University, attended the IPER Symposium and exemplified the spirit of interprofessional education through her leadership in group discussions. Due to her inspiring leadership, she was invited to provide a testimonial to educate future students about the IPER Symposium. Currently working towards becoming a Registered Dietitian, Hailey integrates her advanced nutrition studies with her passion for improving individual and community health. Combined with her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Texas A&M University, she brings a unique, interdisciplinary perspective that connects human and animal health—an essential aspect of the One Health initiative. Her thoughtful contributions inspired peers to approach healthcare delivery with a more comprehensive and collaborative mindset.
Recognizing her impactful participation and leadership, Hailey was invited to provide a testimonial video to help future students understand the value and opportunities within interprofessional education at Texas A&M. Her involvement underscores the university’s commitment to cultivating healthcare professionals prepared to address complex health challenges through collaboration and innovation.
