Kristen joins NDR as the Events Program Manager this week. In this role, she will assist with all facets of meeting and event management for events hosted domestically and internationally. Kristen specializes in international events and has over 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Kristen is a Certified Meeting Professional of the Events Industry Council, an internationally accredited organization, and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Ball State University. What led you or attracted you to working at Notre Dame?
I was drawn to Notre Dame by the dynamic work environment and the opportunity to contribute my skills to a place that values innovation and collaboration.
How did you become interested in your area of work?
I have a genuine passion for hospitality and events. I find each event as an opportunity to be a platform for diverse experiences, fostering connections, and sparking inspiration.
What is your proudest personal or professional achievement?
I have hosted events on 4 continents!
How do you like to spend your free time?
I spend my free time traveling. Visiting other countries and cultures fills my cup.
What are five things you cannot live without?
My family, my passport, good food, fashion, and friends.
Where do you find inspiration/motivation?
I find inspiration through visiting with other people. You can learn so much by smiling and striking up a conversation with a stranger. You'll always find me staying up to date on the latest in event trends — I'm motivated by giving guests of the University a best-in-class experience.
