SOA Staff Travels Abroad

Over the winterim-2018 (Dec-Jan), many members (seven) of the School of Agriculture (SOA) faculty traveled abroad, conducted site visits, and engaged with the host institutions. Three teams went to various countries such as Costa Rica, Thailand, and Spain. Everyone came back with great appreciation and engaged in the further building of the international educational programs. Soon the SOA faculty team(s) will be proposing several Short Term Faculty Led (STFL) programs to take students on educational engagements. Students will get an opportunity to participate in these programs in the coming Spring, Winterim, and Summer. We are forging new relationships and strengthening the cooperation between SOA and foreign institutions such as EARTH University in Costa Rica & SAIIE in Spain. Building a long-term partnership with the host institution(s) is key to building sustainable programs that enable many undergraduate students to participate in international experiences.
