YOUTH MINISTRY VOLUNTEER ROLES

Being a Youth Leader comes with great rewards, both now and in the future. Youth Leaders serve as mentors and Grade Group Leaders for St. Luke’s Youth in middle or high school. Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare for your group by going over the curriculum prior to the day of programming so that you are ready to guide discussions on the given topics
- Attend Youth Leaders' Gatherings
- Be available to talk and pray with students
- Attend and help lead on trips and events

Youth Ministry Hosts
You’ll be the “Youth Connection Point” person, the first person, and the first smile that youth will see. You’ll greet youth and embody our phrase “You Belong” as you get youth checked in, welcome them into our space, and see that connections are being made so no one is left in the margins. A “koinonia”, or true and authentic community, is what you will help create for our youth through snacks in the kitchen, coffee in the café, or jumping into a game of 9 Square… however you see fit.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor check-in for Youth Group, trips/events, etc.
- Set up and organize kitchen snack sales
- Build meaningful relationships with students and create a welcoming atmosphere that promotes acceptance and authentic community
