Dear Students,
We hope this e-mail finds you safe and healthy.
Due to the Novel Coronavirus Virus (COVID-19), all university classes at Temple University, including classes at the Center for American Language & Culture, have moved to a remote live video format. This format offers you interaction and real-time instruction with a teacher and students from around the world.
For the duration of the pandemic and corresponding social isolation, we are offering a 15% tuition scholarship to all students who enroll in our remote program*. Additionally, the student services fee of $200 will be reduced to $50. This is a significant savings for a high quality university-based program.
We continue our commitment to high quality intensive English courses. Our Summer I remote session offers:
- Small class size
- Face-to-face instruction, which helps to create a community with other students
- Experienced teachers who have advanced degrees and years of teaching experience
- A student-centered teaching methodology
- A CEFR-aligned program that meets Temple University language requirement for undergraduate admission
- An academic English curriculum that teaches critical reading skills, academic essay writing, presentation skills, English for business, English for science, and much more
- Weekly Private tutoring sessions that help you achieve your academic, professional, or personal goals faster
- A variety of enrichment courses that you can choose from, such as Chatting with Americans, an opportunity to sharpen your speaking skills by talking with fluent speakers on a weekly basis.
We hope you will join us remotely for the summer sessions. Please do not hesitate to contact the enrollment team with any questions at tcalcapps@temple.edu.
Sincerely,
Jacqueline McCafferty
Director, Center for American Language & Culture
