Dream Center safe space on campus becomes a reality for undocumented students

The college celebrated the grand opening celebration of its long-awaited SBCC Dream Center in the Campus Center/CESJ space on Wednesday, Oct. 19, part of a number of activities in recognition of Undocument Student Week of Action, Oct. 17-20. The Dream Center is a space where undocumented students can receive a variety of services including legal and financial assistance. Largely responsible for its existence are Coordinator of Equity, Diversity, and Cultural Competency Roxane M. Byrne and Dream Center Student Program Advisor Leslie Marin, who herself is undocumented.
