Please see the IBEX website for a list of HKU Pre-Approved courses which were taken by past IBEX students. Please note: every course may not be offered during the particular semester the student is abroad. If admitted to the program, you may send additional course syllabi to Stern's International Exchanges & Special Programs team for evaluation.

Housing:
On-campus housing is provided but not guaranteed. Basic lodging fees for university undergraduate halls range from HK$5,880-9,576/semester.    

Approximate Living Expenses: 
1 USD = 7.77 Hong Kong Dollars (HK$) (As of September 2021)
  • Food: Compulsory meal charge HK$ 3,680 – 4,480 per semester in the residence halls, otherwise approximately HK $3,000 per month
  • Books & Academic Expenses: approximately HK $1,500 per semester
  • Transportation: tram ride costs HK $2.3 while the subway fare is based on distance and can range from HK$10-HK$50
Student Services:
HKU’s Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS) gives guidance and advice on areas such as visa and immigration formalities, accommodation, living costs, adjustment and orientation, etc. Prior to the start of the academic year, a guide and series of orientation programs are organized for incoming non-local students to facilitate their adjustment to the new environment.
