Welcome, Stern Transfer Students 
We are so excited to have you joining our community and cannot wait to get to know you! To help prepare you for your transition into NYU Stern, we have put together a list of some helpful NYU resources and also series of Stern specific videos that combined will give you all the information you need for your transition into NYU and NYU Stern. You should plan to review all of the videos below in their entirety by June 17th at the latest, but ideally before you attend a 1-on-1 PDCE Coaching or Academic Advising session.

*Required* Academic Advising Registration + Transfer Appointment (1hr):
This 1 hr long one-on-one meeting with an Academic Adviser will take place via Zoom and is where you will discuss your Fall schedule and begin registering for classes. There will also be time to begin discussing preliminary questions you may have about your degree requirements and transfer credits. Students are required to sign up for an appt by the end of June. Please prepare for this appointment with the following steps:
  1. By June 17th or before your appt (whichever is first) - Watch the above Academic Advising videos and begin exploring NYU Albert & thinking about your Fall schedule (re-review the Albert Help guides, seriously so helpful!)
  2. At least 2 business days (M-F) before your appt - Send your unofficial transcript to uc.transfers@stern.nyu.edu along with electronic copies of the course syllabi for all courses that may be eligible to transfer over (you will begin reviewing these with an adviser in your appt).
If you have any issues accessing the appt signup button, please contact the Advising team at uc.transfers@stern.nyu.edu and make sure to reference that you are an incoming external transfer students into Stern. 
Sign up for an Advising Appointment
*Required* PDCE Coaching Session (30 min):

This 30 min long session with a PDCE team Career Coach will take place via Zoom and is where you can pose any lingering questions you may have about professional development & career preparation as you transition into Stern. Students are required to schedule an appt by the end of the summer.  No prep necessary for coaching session (other than watching the PDCE video series above)! To make a career coach appointment in NYU Handshake, you:
  1. Click Schedule New Appointment
  2. Go to Undergraduate Students
  3. Then NYU Stern Undergraduate Students
  4. Select a Stern staff member you'd like to meet with.
If you have any issues signing up for a coaching session, please contact the PDCE team at uc.careers@stern.nyu.edu and make sure to reference that you are an incoming external transfer student into Stern.
