The little things
I was recording my podcast yesterday with my podcasting partner, speaker and all around cool dude, Nick Foley and we got talking about the little things.

We often get caught up often on the BIG things, the GIANT goals and the END game. Where we will be in 5, 10 or maybe 25 years. We keep score of what others are doing on social media and within their school or careers. We compare and sometimes become anxious that we aren’t as “successful” as others. Maybe we aren’t reaching the expectations that are either self-imposed or perhaps pushed on us by parents or colleagues.
Here’s where I sit on this idea. Where I think you and I need to focus...
WE NEED TO STOP!
What if we spent our days living in that particular day? What if we actually focused on the people and experiences that are happening all around us?
It is said that your days are just micro-samples of your years, and your years are what makes up your life story.
If we are always stressed, anxious or frazzled with the here and the now then we will never be satisfied with our life as a whole?
My simple challenge to you (and to myself) is as follows: live in the moment, love those around you and celebrate the little wins. We all remember the Raptors winning the championship last year, but don’t forget to win that championship, the team had to win the 58 regular season games.
Live today.
