Journal me this
The most valuable decision that I made in my life to better myself was to start keeping a journal.
That is my simple message today. When I was growing up, keeping a journal was frowned upon if you were a guy. It was a diary and that’s what “girls did”.
We weren’t encouraged to keep journals, we weren’t asked to think deeply, to push our personal awareness. Then I went to a leadership event and was encouraged to keep a journal; to ask myself the tough questions, to be open to pushing my thoughts to a deeper level.

Questions like;
- What do I fear?
- Why do I fear these things?
- What would my life look like if I was to conquer my fears?

In fact, I challenge you to answer those questions now! Grab a journal, it can even be a sheet of paper. Don’t stress about the type of journal you use, just a clean sheet of paper will do. Also don’t worry about the length of the answers. It can be a page, a paragraph, or just a sentence.
Always make sure to keep a gratitude section in your journal. You don’t have to thank everything and everyone, just be grateful.
Keeping a journal is a great way to work things out and also relieve stress. It’s good for your mental health. Try it, you won’t regret it!
