Join us for a Tech Hackathon Oct. 2

It'll be HyperFocused Ideation!

We want you with us

As part of a new partnership with Twilio, Aramark is planning a hackathon to bring a diverse group of associates together and create new ideas on ways we can help our business improve its employee and consumer engagement.
Get out of your routine! Bring your creativity, have some fun, and join in on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
Need to know more?
The hackathon is about learning how Aramark can combine the powers of Marko, its data and AI platform, with Twilio's virtual communications infrastructure. Pavan Arora, IT vice president, invites techies and non-techies alike to participate in this unique and collaborative one-day event.
Twilio is a tech firm that enables innovators across every industry  -- from emerging leaders to the world's largest corporations -- to re-invent how they engage with their customers. Twilio's technology helps businesses connect with employees and customers in their preferred communications channel -- like voice, text, chat, video and email -- embedded into web, desktop and mobile software. Learn more and check out the customer stories at www.twilio.com
So what is a hackathon?
A hackathon is a way to crowdsource for ideas in a more focused and faster approach with participants formed in small teams working together competitively.  While a "hack" refers to programming, it is really about teamwork, creativity and innovation in a short period of time. Each team will be asked to develop an actionable solution and present a proof of concept of their idea at the end of the event for their peers, Aramark executives and Twilio partners.
Who can participate?
Aramark business professionals at headquarters or those who can be at 2400 Market on Oct. 2.  You do not need to be a programmer or an IT employee to participate. Sure, we want coders, programmers and app developers. We encourage professionals in Aramark's businesses, marketing, project management and others who can offer insights on how new technology applications could help Aramark deliver better experiences. Teams will be formed with four to six people. Send questions to aramark.ITCommunications@aramark.com or fill out this form to participate.
