Baskets of Love at the Breath of Life Gala

Friday, October 2, 2026 | National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum

Baskets of Love is a Central/Western Oklahoma Chapter program that invites cystic fibrosis families to support the Breath of Life Gala by contributing an auction item, honoring their CF hero, and attending the event. Your hero's name and picture will be featured prominently at the event.

Each family may donate one Basket of Love, and in appreciation, the Chapter will provide two tickets to the Breath of Life Gala for each basket donated.

A Basket of Love can take many forms—such as a large single item, a curated basket, an experience, a trip, or any other creative idea you believe would appeal to auction guests. Many families often partner with local businesses, friends, or extended family members to help gather donated items or experiences.

We ask that each Basket of Love have a retail value of approximately $350-400. Our shared goal is to raise as much funding as possible to support care, research, and ultimately a cure for cystic fibrosis.

If you plan to participate, you MUST complete the following forms:

Baskets of Love Commitment Form: Let us know by Friday, August 28, 2026 to save your two seats at the Gala and submit your CF hero's photo!

Baskets of Love Item Form: Complete form AND have auction items to the CF Foundation office by Friday, September 18, 2026.

*ALL Baskets are DUE to the chapter office by Friday, September 18, 2026*

We cannot guarantee items received after this date will be included in the auction.

Baskets of Love Tips and Ideas

We know that making a basket is fun and exciting, but it can also a bit intimidating, especially if it’s your first one! We hope this can help guide you on what you want to do for your Basket of Love!

Places and people to consider asking for donations:

Boutiques and local shops are often willing to donate an item or gift certificate.
Restaurants may be willing to provide a gift certificate or dining experience.
Do you have a friend or relative who has a business that is willing to donate a service or item?
Do you have a friend or relative with access to a unique experience?
Do you have a friend or relative with season tickets to football, basketball, baseball, etc.? It can be local or across the country. Is there a game they will not be able to attend and would be willing to donate?
Do you know someone who would be willing to donate a weekend at their lake house or their time-share?
Share an Amazon wishlist on social media to have friends and family help purchase items to create a basket.

Red River Showdown - tickets to OU vs. Texas game
Romantic Evening - wine, glasses, restaurant gift card, cozy blanket
Firehouse Fun - Dinner and Tour with OKC Fire Station
Happy Hour Time - Cocktail shaker, drinkware, ice bucket, coasters, and mixers
Tailgate Season - Yeti cooler, Sherpa throw, pretzels, towels, jerky
Christmas ornament collections, décor, Nativity scene, etc.
Go Pokes! - 2 tickets and VIP on-field experience to OSU vs. Kansas
I Like Big Bundts - Bundt cake, gift cards, wine tumblers, coffee mugs, and other cake lovers goodies.
Relax Away - 5-night stay at a Colorado ranch
