The Packaged Good Option Is Filled-Closed
The Packaged Good: The Packaged Good provides a fun, inspirational environment where kids and community groups can decorate and personalize care packages and create craft projects for people in need. Whether it’s giving to our armed forces, the elderly, the homeless or hospitalized kids, The Packaged Good partners with vetted, reputable non-profit organizations to allow volunteers the ability to support causes closest to their hearts while handling all of the logistics. Ages 3 and up.
North Fulton Community Charities: NFCC is a non-profit human service agency dedicated to preventing homelessness of individuals north of the river in Fulton County. Participants in this project will be assisting in the thrift shop - helping sort, organize, price and sell items. Middle school students.
JF&CS Option Is Filled-Closed
JF&CS: Jewish Family & Career Services (JF&CS), established in 1891, helps improve the quality of life and build self-sufficiency for individuals and families in greater Atlanta. We provide counseling and career supports, and services for older adults and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our highly-skilled professionals serve more than 30,000 individuals annually regardless of age, race, religion, national origin or ability to pay. Participants will decorate cards for AVIV older adult services, learn about the Kosher food pantry and other projects. Please bring cans of tuna for donation. Ages 5 and up.
The Cohen Home Option Is Filled-Closed
The Cohen Home: The Cohen Home is an assisted living community that exemplifies the principles of family, community and Jewish values.  Project participants will have a fun afternoon engaging with the Cohen residents. Ages 6 and up.
Chattahoochee Nature Center: CNC's misson is connect people with nature. Their goal for the youth community is to foster active awareness and understanding of the ecology of the natural world. Participants in this project will be joining in on a Wetlands Restoration program. The purpose of this event is to help rid our wetlands of invasive plants. Ages 5 and up.
Hunger Walk/Run: This annual 5K walk and “fun run” begun in 1984 -- is an event of the Atlanta Community Food Bank that raises awareness and critical funds for local hunger relief.  Proceeds from the event benefit the Atlanta Community Food Bank and other local nonprofit organizations that support food pantries, community kitchens, shelters and other programs for people in need of food assistance. Participants can join the Greater Atlanta community and walk to support hunger relief. All ages. 
The Epstein SchoolOption #1: Making Lunches for Shelters: The participants will be making lunches to deliver to homeless shelters for people to enjoy over the week. Peanut butter will be used. Ages 3 and up. 
Option #2: Making Dinners for Shelters: The participants will be making hot meals to deliver to Congregation Shearith Israel’s shelter for homeless women called Rebecca’s Tent. Dinners will be prepared in our kosher kitchen. Ages 8 and up.
Home Stretch: HomeStretch guides working homeless families with minor children toward increased self-reliance and stability by providing LifeSkills education, mentoring and supportive housing. Volunteers will help to clean, paint or work outside with winter yard maintenance. WAIVER NEEDED. Ages 10 and up.
 Breman Jewish Home Option -The Packaged Good
Breman Jewish Home: Breman Jewish Home is a 96 bed long-term skilled nursing care, dementia care and short-term rehabilitative care. Project participants will have a fun afternoon engaging the Breman residents in traditional bingo with prizes. Please note this project begins at 2:30 pm. Ages 6 and up.
Creating Connected Communities. This project is for any ages and will take place in Epstein’s Middle School Mo’adon. We are going to collect books for all of the underprivileged kids in CCC’s programs, count and organize them and then make bookmarks for the kids to have in each book. Please bring books for donation. Ages 3 and up.
Simple Needs GA: Our mission is to meet the simple needs of children, people experiencing homelessness, and others in need, while inspiring our community to do the same. We will assemble our Comfort Kits that day - full-size toiletries in sport duffel bags. Ages 8 and up.
Fur Kids Option Is Filled-Closed
Furkids: Furkids operates the largest cage-free, no-kill shelter in the Southeast for rescued cats and Sadie’s Place, a no-kill shelter for dogs. The Furkids mission is to rescue homeless animals, provide them with the best medical care and nurturing environment while working to find them a forever home. Furkids is the only animal rescue organization in metro Atlanta that allows children of all ages to volunteer. Furkids volunteer programs are designed to restore the health and spirits of injured and homeless animals while providing healing opportunities for volunteers who are strengthened by the bond of love and care between humans and animals. Ages 8 and up.
