We have the safety of our staff and attendees in mind as we return to live, in-person events in Texas this year. Here, you will find out what we're doing to keep you safe and how you can keep our staff and other attendees safe, too.
We understand that guidelines are changing rapidly and will make every effort to keep this page updated as new information arises throughout the year.

What We're Doing Differently

Here's a look at what we're doing differently at our live, in-person conferences:
  • All meeting room capacities will be set with social distancing in mind.
  • Increased signage will be visible to remind guests to maintain safe distancing.
  • Public areas will be sanitized throughout the day.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available on-site.
  • Plexiglass shields will be positioned at registration to create a barrier between staff members and attendees.
  • Meals will be boxed or distributed by an attendant.
  • Printed binders will not be distributed on-site to help minimize multiple touch points at registration and facilitate sanitation in the meeting room at various times. Printed binders that are pre-ordered with your registration or ordered on-site at the conference will be fully complete and shipped to you after the conference.
  • Registration will offer additional flexibility and convenience. Attendees will have the option to include access to live webcast with their live, in-person conference registration for an additional $75. Or attendees can fully switch their delivery method (in-person vs. live webcast) for no additional fee if they notify us at least one business day before the conference begins.
  • Regular cancellation fees will not be assessed due to illness or exposure to COVID-19. (See “Key Dates” for each conference.)
Masks are recommended for unvaccinated individuals and those who have weakened immune systems. We expect that some employees/attendees will wear masks and others will not —and for a variety of reasons. Ultimately we will continue to respect one another.

How You Can Help

  • Follow the 7 Steps from the World Health Organization outlined below to help prevent the spread.
  • Maintain physical distance when possible.
  • Wash hands frequently and minimize touch point contact.
  • Stay home if you are sick or think you may have been exposed. We’ll transfer your registration to the live webcast for no additional fee or you can watch the recorded eConference on your own time (available to all attendees within 4-6 weeks).
  • Agree to the Personal Accountability Commitment at the bottom of this page.
Being vaccinated prior to attending the event is encouraged, but not required.

Personal Accountability Commitment

By registering for a live, in-person event, you agree to follow all safety protocols requested by UT Law CLE and by the conference venue at the time of the event. You acknowledge there is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public space where people gather. We encourage all registrants to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance and all posted instructions while attending UT Law CLE events to ensure the health and safety of our staff, speakers, and attendees.
