We have the safety of our staff and attendees in mind as we conduct live, in-person events. Here, you will find out what we're doing—and what you can do—to protect participants and preserve our in-person CLE environment. We will make every effort to keep this page updated if new information arises.

In-Person Expectations

For the safety and comfort of all participants, we are recommending all attendees observe the following precautions:
  • Wear face masks, except when eating or drinking, if you are unvaccinated or at high risk for severe illness, and adhere to The University of Texas’ Mask Guidance
  • Maintain physical distance when possible based on the current CDC guidelines.
  • Follow other safety protocols put in place for a specific event, and
  • Agree to the Personal Accountability Commitment at the bottom of this page.
If you are experiencing symptoms, have COVID-19 or think you may have been exposed, please stay home. We’ll transfer your registration to the live webcast (when available – select conferences do not have a webcast component) for no additional fee – or you can watch the recorded eConference on your own time (available to all attendees within 6-8 weeks).

What We're Doing Differently

Here's a look at what we're doing differently at our live, in-person conferences:
  • Printed binders will not be distributed on-site. Printed binders that are pre-ordered with your registration or ordered on-site at the conference will be fully complete and shipped to you after the conference.
  • Registration will offer additional flexibility and convenience. Attendees will have the option to include access to live webcast (when available) with their live, in-person conference registration for an additional $75. Or attendees can fully switch their delivery method (in-person vs. live webcast) for no additional fee if they notify us at least one business day before the conference begins. Please note: select conferences do not have a live webcast component. In this case, attendees can watch the recorded eConference on their own time (available to all attendees within 6-8 weeks).
  • Regular cancellation fees will not be assessed due to illness or exposure to COVID-19. (See “Key Dates” for each conference.)

Personal Accountability Commitment

By registering for a live, in-person event, you agree to follow all safety protocols requested by UT Law CLE and by the conference venue at the time of the event. You acknowledge there is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public space where people gather. We encourage all registrants to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance and all posted instructions while attending UT Law CLE events to ensure the health and safety of our staff, speakers, and attendees.
