Arena Sports Magnuson

Back to Seattle

Arena Sports Magnuson came to life in 1999 as a parking lot where in-line roller hockey was played.  We first occupied Building 2 and Building 30 in Magnuson Park, where Lil' Kickers, Lil' Hoopers, in-line hockey, volleyball, baseball, camps, and parties were offered.  Those were challenging days; leaky roofs, no heat, no running water or restrooms.  During city-sponsored events, we had to pack up our board system and equipment and move out, only to move back in after the event.
The goal of having a long-term, permanent presence at Magnuson Park was realized when we moved to our current location in 2010 - Building 27.  The building has a long history.  It was originally built in 1938 as a seaplane hangar for the Sand Point Naval Station.
After a significant renovation, it includes three soccer fields, a designated space for the FunZone, and Magnuson Athletic Club.  Not only were we able to provide great programming at Magnuson Park after the move, but we were also able to offer a great facility.

What's New at Magnuson?  Sun Shades!

Recently installed, sun shades help shield players from distracting sunlight while still providing lots of natural light.  They are removable during the fall and winter months to maximize natural light.  The reviews are in...players love them!
