Frequently Asked Questions

How do I purchase my ticket?
We use Open Table Ticketing for our special events. The great thing is, if you’ve used Open Table before you can purchase a ticket to this event.  When making your reservation simply enter the number of people, December 11th as the date, and 6:00pm as your time.  PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU SELECT 18th & 21st as the restaurant.  If you make a reservation in Cured that night, we will not have a seat for you.  Another tip.  These reservations require payment in full at the time of making the reservation.  If Open Table doesn’t ask for your Credit Card information, something is not quite right.

What is included in my ticket?
Your ticket includes entrance to our Fourth Annual 18th & 21st Charlie Brown Christmas Dinner at the 6:00pm. It also includes a four-course dinner with beverage pairings, readings, and live music of the Vince Guaraldi Trio.  The latter performed by our very own John “Chordy” Teagle.  Not by himself.  He will have other musicians with him.  He’s really amazing but he can’t pull off sounding like a trio by himself.

What is the menu?
If you weren't paying attention while you were reading this email, which is unlikely since you are reading this, there is a link above that takes you to the menu. That is the menu we will be serving at the dinner. Now there is always the chance that we might have to make last minute change. Have you been to the grocery store lately? I can't go there without them being out of at least one thing that I'm looking for. First it was peanut butter, then it was tappioca. Yeah, Tappioca. I paid $19 for two boxes of tappioca on Amazon becuase I couldn't find it anywhere.

Is there a bar?
Of course there is a bar. While your ticket includes beverage pairings for each course, we of course will not stop you from ordering other tasty beverages. To be clear, if you do order other tasty beverages, we will be asking you to pay for those. We do run a business after all.

How long will the dinner last?
Plan on being here for about two and a half hours.  We promise to have you out by 9:00.

Will there be live music?
Yes, have you been paying attention?  Remember above when we said: …and live music of the Vince Guarldi Trio. The latter performed by our very own John “Chordy” Teagle.  They will be performing live and in person.  This is not some telecast, or holographic performance.  Although a holographic band would be fabulous.  If you don’t think so, check out Gem and the Holograms and try to tell us they’re not fabulous.

What will the seating be like?
If you’ve been to 18th & 21st before, it will look just like any other night.  Tables and chairs for all.  We will not be moving tables around or anything like that.  If you desire to sit with other specific people, please make a note where provided when making your reservation and we will do the very best we can to accommodate any such request. Please know that seating in 18th & 21st is limited and there is a chance that we may not be able to accommodate your request.

What should I wear?
Here at 18th & 21st we want you to be comfortable. Wear whatever you’d like but remember one thing. This is a Charlie Brown Christmas Dinner. So, yellow and black shirts, or ugly Christmas sweaters would be amazing! But if you’re like Vince he’s going to do as he always does and will be wearing a shirt and tie, and probably cufflinks. That’s right, he’s bringing them back.

What if there is bad weather?
In case we weren’t’ clear, this event is indoors.  If you purchase a ticket plan on showing up. We promise we will be open. Okay, in the event of a tree falling on the building we may not have the event.  But have you seen this building?  That would have to be one really large tree.

Can I buy tickets at the door?
Possibly, but why take that chance? There’s a good chance that it'll be sold out. We only sell a limited amount of tickets for our Charlie Brown Dinner, and when they're gone, they're gone.  Don’t show up and have us pull the football out from under you.

Are tickets refundable?
No. Did U2 refund your tickets to the ZooTV tour because your mother-in-law forgot she said she would babysit for you?   I’m here to tell you they don’t. And yeah, I’m still salty about that one. Those tickets were expensive.  While we are unable to refund tickets, your tickets are transferable. If something comes up and you are unable to attend, you can always let a friend come in your place.

Is there an age restriction?
Generally for 18th & 21st we ask that all diners be eighteen years of age or older.  Since this is a Charlie Brown themed event we will make an exception to this rule. We simply ask parents to use their best judgement when deciding if it is appropriate for their children.

Is there parking?
Of course.  That’s one of the many great things about 18th & 21st. Free, garage parking. It’s literally attached to our building. We have spaces that are specifically reserved for the restaurant. Plus, it’s on a Sunday.  The offices are closed and the bulk of the lot will be empty.  This means you shouldn’t have any trouble finding a space to park. Unless you have a rare disorder that makes it difficult to see empty parking spaces.  If that’s the case, we wish you the best; that sounds like an odd affliction to live with.
