Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in my ticket?
Your ticket will include a few things. It will include your entry to the event, a map of the restaurant so you can find the whiskies you want to taste (or to help you not look silly if you get lost, if you get it’s a big restaurant but if you get lost with a map we promise we will still be here to help you find your way), a branded whiskey glass in which to taste your whiskey, and the opportunity to munch down on all the delicious snacks the kitchen is crafting to titillate your taste buds and let’s be honest, it’s mainly to help you maintain a decent level of sobriety.

What is the menu and when will food be available?
From the moment you walk in there will be food available, well maybe not the moment you walk in, we won’t be standing at the door shoving pretzel bites in your face, but food will be available throughout the event.

Who will be pouring Whiskey?
We have set up an incredible lineup of brands both American and international distilleries. If you like whiskey or whisky or both, and you don’t find something that you like, it may be time to ask yourself if you really like whiskey or you just think you do. We will have people representing producers from all over the World. For a full list keep an eye out for our emails as we begin to announce which brands we will be featuring.

Is there seating?
Not really. While there will be limited, non-reservable seating throughout the space, the WhiskeyFest is really a tasting style event.

What if there is bad weather?
In case we weren’t clear, this event is indoors. We will be having this event rain or shine. If you purchase a ticket plan on showing up. We promise we will be open. Okay, in the event that on October 21st a sinkhole appears underneath of the restaurant we will be unable to hold the event. If a sinkhole does in fact form we probably won't be able to do much of anything since the county will probably condem the building. But let's face it. That's probably not going to happen.

Can I buy tickets at the door?
Possibly, but why take that chance? There’s a good chance that it'll be sold out. We only sell a limited number of tickets for our WhiskeyFest, and when they're gone, they're gone. Don’t get left out in the cold. It is April in Maryland. It might be cold outside.

Are tickets refundable?
No. Did Southwest refund your cash when you got a flat tire on the way to the airport and missed your flight and you had purchased the non-refundable “Wanna Get Away” Fare to save some cash? While we are unable to refund tickets, your tickets are transferable. If something comes up and you are unable to attend, you can always let a friend come in your place. Just tell them to fork over the money. You did pay for these tickets and they are supposedly a friend. Also the answer to the question about Southwest is absolutely no. Luckily I’m not one to hold a grudge. Wait, I am one to hold a grudge. But alas Southwest is the best deal around so I’ll get over it and I’ll keep tempting fate with that non-refundable ticket.

Do I have to be 21 years old to attend?
Yes, due to the nature of the event, no one under 21 years of age will be admitted to Cured’s WhiskeyFest.

Is there parking?
Of course. That’s one of the many great things about Cured. Free, garage parking. It’s literally attached to our building. We have spaces that are reserved for the restaurant. The other nice thing is that when the event is done and you decide to be responsible and be picked up at the front door by and Uber or a disgruntled significant other you are more than welcome to leave your car behind and come back and pick it up when you have had a minute to shake off the headache and drink 10 gallons of water.
