Here's your chance to own a piece of the Mods! Bid on your favorite Mod building number beginning Jan. 18. Bidding for every number starts at $50 and ends at midnight, Jan. 25. This is a sealed-bid auction. If you're the highest bidder, we'll notify you by sending you an email with a link to pay your bid. Placards will be sent to the winner when payment is made. Your payment must be made by Feb. 4 or we will move to the next highest bidder. Pieces are authentic and as is at the time of removal. What is a sealed-bid auction? A sealed-bid auction is a type of auction process in which all bidders simultaneously submit sealed bids so that no bidder knows how much the other auction participants have bid. What is the minimum bid? The minimum bid for each placard is $50.  Can I bid more than once? You can, but we recommend that you submit your best bid so you don’t have to fill out the form twice. We will not be publishing or sharing bid amounts for any of the numbers.  Can I bid on more than one number?  Yes, you are more than welcome to bid on more than one number. You’ll need to submit the form for each bid and payment will be expected for each winning bid. Can I win more than one placard? Yes, if you submit bids for multiple placards and you are the highest bidder on more than one number, you can win more than one. How do I know my bid was received? After submitting your bid, you’ll receive a confirmation from the form. When is the last day to bid? The deadline to bid is midnight, Jan. 25. If necessary, the auction may be extended only for numbers that did not receive a bid.   When will I know if I won?  Winners will be notified via email by Jan. 27. Winners will be given a link to make their gift/payment online. I changed my mind. Can I remove my bid? Your bid is considered final. Once winners are notified, they will be given the opportunity to make their payment/gift to Bucknell.  If I win, when will my placard be mailed? Is there an additional cost for shipping? Placards will be mailed to all winners in mid-to-late February. There will be no additional cost to you for shipping.  How much of the gift is tax deductible? Is this considered a gift or a purchase? The entire amount of your donation is a tax-deductible gift to Bucknell’s Student Wellbeing Initiatives.  What is the size of each placard?  The placards are 8 x 8 in.  Is there more than one number per building?  Yes, some buildings have more than one placard. The top two bidders for each of those numbers will win a placard.  Can you look up my Mod number? No, we are unable to look up previous building numbers for individuals.  Can we submit a group bid? If you want to pool your gift, you may do so. Only one person should submit the total bid, and only one person should make the payment if you are the winning bidder. The placard and the gift credit will only be attributed to the individual who makes the bid/payment and the placard will be mailed to their address.
