Celebrate Your Class with a Special Gift
An anonymous donor has offered a one to one match of contributions to The Class of 1970 Memorial Fund up to $25,000. Act now and double the size of your gift!
Contributions by class members (not counting the matching funds) are at $14,335. With the matching funds, The Class of 1970 Memorial Endowed Scholarship now stands at $28,870 (as of 2-18-2020).
There is still $10,565 on the table in matching funds to be secured before June 30. You may give online at http://bit.ly/1970_50TH_EM_01. The Class of 1970 Memorial Endowed Scholarship will memorialize and honor members of the Class of 1970. It will live in perpetuity through the university's endowment — supporting generations of St. Edward's University students whose financial circumstances might prevent them from accessing our Holy Cross, Catholic education.
You will soon receive a mailer from the university with information on how to include St. Edward's in your estate planning, which you may find a desirable way to contribute to the Class of 1970 Memorial Endowed Scholarship.

WEEKEND INFORMATION

2. Homecoming Schedule and Campus Map. You can also check out all the details online Homecoming and Family Weekend website.
3. Parking – Guests are welcome to park in any of the surface parking lots except for barricaded lots, orange permit lots and handicapped parking spaces (unless you have a handicap placard).
4. Golf Cart Shuttle Service – will be provided for Homecoming events taking place on-campus on Friday from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. Please call the Office of University Advancement at 512-464-8826 with your location and our staff will come by to pick you up.
If you need golf cart service on Saturday and Sunday, please call my cell at 512-501-9325 and we will dispatch one to come and pick you up on campus.
5. Bookstore Hours: Friday 9 - 6 pm; Saturday 10-5 pm; Sunday 10- 3 pm . On Saturday, the bookstore will also have a table at Tailgate.
6. We will have nametags for everyone attending
7. Event updates:
A. Golden Guard Mass and Luncheon on Friday morning – we will be offering valet parking for this event. A separate email will be sent for this event later this week.
B. Homecoming and Family Weekend Bash takes place at the Austin Sports Center directly across from St. Edward's University. The address is: 425 Woodward St., Austin, TX 78704
* Parking: There is no parking at Austin Sport Center. Guests are encourage to park at St. Edward's University.
* Getting to Austin Sports Center
* You can walk across Woodward to get to the Austin Sports Center using the crosswalks that will be manned by City of Austin Police Officers.
* You can also utilize the shuttle van that will pick up/drop off from two locations on campus:
**Ragsdale Center circle drive.
* BASH shuttle van will run from 7:30 pm - 12:30 am.
C. Tailgating takes place on Saturday, February 15th from Noon - 4 in the UFCU Alumni Parking Lot/Lot F on the campus map.
* Guests attending the Farewell Brunch are strongly encouraged to pick up their Brunch wristbands during Game Day Tailgating. Alumni can pick up their wristbands at Alumni Association Tent.
* Any guests that do not pick up their wristbands at Tailgating will need to proceed to Brunch check-in on Sunday at the Ragsdale Center.
D. The Class of 1970 50th Reunion will take place in the Mabee Ballrooms in the Ragsdale Center on Saturday night at 6:30 pm.
E. Sunday Mass and Brunch – the Austin Marathon takes places on Sunday, February 16th. Please avoid South Congress.
8. Photos – All photos will be posted on Flickr post HFW weekend. You do not need a password to access the photos.

YOUR SPECIAL EVENTSFriday, February 14: - Golden Guard Mass and Luncheon: 10:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Celebrate the Sacraments and remember loved ones who have gone on to eternal life at this invitation-only Golden Guard Memorial Mass. Then, enjoy lunch while we induct you into the Golden Guard, a distinguished society for those who attended or graduated from St. Edward’s at least 50 years ago. Registration required .
- Vincent Hall Plaque Re-Dedication 2:30 - 3:30 p.m.
From 1952 to 1970, Vincent Hall was home to Brothers of Holy Cross and the scholasticates studying to become "men with hope to bring." Join us to remember the special place where more than 500 young men prayed, lived and journeyed toward lifelong devotion to Holy Cross.
- High Tea and Tennis Shoes: 4 –5 p.m.
Especially planned for women, this afternoon tea and multi-generational panel discussion with prominent women who are leading the way in philanthropic efforts to improve the things that matter most to them. The panel will be moderated by Kathleen Wilburn, PhD, professor of management. Click here for more details and to register.
- Alumni Honors Ceremony: 5:30 –7 p.m.
St. Edward’s University will honor the 2020 Alumni Awards honorees and Athletic Hall of Fame inductees. Registration required
- Homecoming & Family Weekend Bash: 8 p.m.–midnight
The St. Ed's community unites for the greatest party! Join alumni, students and parents for live music, food, drink, and casino games. Tickets Include appetizers. Cash bar at event. Check out photos from last year's BASH. Registration required

Share your St. Edward's story for our university-wide oral history project. Through short prompts and easy questions, you'll share your experiences and reflect on how the St. Edward's education impacted your life. Please reserve your interview time slot here.
- Our Holy Cross Catholic Heritage 10:30–11: 30 a.m.
Learn how Holy Cross values and history continue to enrich the St. Edward's tradition of improving lives through education and service.
- Game Day Tailgating, Athletic Events and School Panels/Presentations
- The Class of 1970 50th Reunion Dinner: 6:30–9 p.m.
It will be an evening to reconnect and reminisce about your time on the Hilltop. Ticket includes dinner and two drinks. Registration required
