BAYADA’s Annual Education Campaign is Live
At BAYADA, we strive to continuously improve our work through evaluation, education, and training, so that we can provide the very best services to our clients. One of the ways we keep our commitment to continuous improvement and training is through our Annual Education campaign, a requirement for all BAYADA employees.
BAYADA’s Annual Education—consisting of Staying Healthy (Infection Prevention) and Honesty & Confidentiality—is now live through November 1. This year, in response to employee feedback, we are also rolling out the Conflict of Interest and Code of Ethics "read and signs" at the same time, reducing the number of times employees are asked to complete their compliance obligations throughout the year. Completing these required compliance trainings is an important way to protect yourself, your colleagues, your clients, and the company from dangerous or illegal acts that can put you or others at risk.
During the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we want to make completing this year’s annual education requirement as simple as possible for you. There are no assessments; employees are only required to verify that the training materials have been reviewed. All employees will be required to complete a “read and sign” for the Honesty & Confidentiality training, and all BAYADA clinicians will be required to complete a “read and sign” for the Staying Healthy materials.
How to complete your Annual Education
All employees will complete the Annual Education programs digitally via BAYADA University, our learning management system (LMS). To access your required trainings, simply:
- Head to bayada.okta.com
- Open BAYADA University
- Click the My Learning tab > My Learning Plan
If you have any questions related to the content of these trainings, please reach out to your manager. Please visit bayada.com/login or contact the IT Service Desk at 215-757-9000 if you experience any login or technical issues.

MedCom Course Access Ending July 31, 2022
For years, BAYADA University has offered complimentary online courses from MedCom—an accredited provider of continuing nursing education (CE). Through MedCom and the American Nurses Credentialing Center Commission of Accreditation, many of our employees have earned nursing contact hours and in-service credits. Now is the time for employees to grab documentation of their CE certificates, before MedCom access ends July 31, 2022.
What is changing?
We regret to inform you that effective July 31, 2022, MedCom is going out of business. BAYADA will stop new enrollments for MedCom courses on July 14, 2022, which will allow two weeks for you to complete courses and obtain your CE certificates.
Please retrieve your CE certificates before July 31, 2022, if you did not previously retrieve them.

Certificate retrieval process:
- Log into bayada.okta.com and navigate to BAYADA University.
- From the menu, select My Learning > My Learning History.
- For a course with a CE listed, click the course certificate.
- If it is a MedCom course, click the link on the certificate (you may need to copy and paste the link into a browser). Each link is individual to the employee and looks similar to this one:
https://ww7.medcomrn.com/bayada/certificate/?user=1981ABC
Your unique link sends you to all your completed courses on the MedCom site, where you may obtain PDFs of your certificates. Links do not appear on certificates of non-MedCom courses. - Save your certificate as a digital file or print it for your records.

We have partnered with our clinical team to explore other vendors with clinical coursework that also provides CEs for different disciplines. Courses with CEs also remain available at BAYADA Education Connection (education.bayada.com).

Southern Vermont State Programs (SVT) On-Call Manager Amber Sheldon consistently goes above and beyond when working with clients as a home health aide and in her duties as an on-call manager for our office. She is always willing to go the extra mile, cover the emergency shifts, be flexible, and take ownership of her clients’ care. Stargazer Lily Division (STR) Director of Assistive Care Clinical Operations Carolyn Fontana and I were presenting recently at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation Spinal Cord Injury peer support group meeting when one of our clients asked if he could share his experience being cared for by New York Assistive Care (NYA) HHA Rose Asiedu. The client went on in detail to explain how much Rose does for him and what a value she is in his life. He never thought he would be able to ambulate again, and he is making great strides! Thank you, Rose, for all you do every day to help others! It doesn't go unnoticed.
—Pamela Soni, Director, Managed Care, Adults (MCO)

Willow Grove, PA Pediatrics (WGP) LPN Christine Trescott has been the right-hand nurse for our client who has undergone unexpected revision surgeries this February. Returning home after weeks away was hard for both the child and the family, but Christine was a guiding presence who was so helpful. She was a great advocate in helping the family navigate the medical system. As a teammate who is never physically with Christine, I could feel the impact she was making, even from afar!

Reminder: Refer a Friend Through Our New and Improved Talent Scout Program
Our revamped employee referral program, Talent Scout, makes it easier—and more rewarding—than ever to refer a friend to BAYADA. We have made significant improvements based on feedback from caregivers like you.
Here's what's changed:
- We now have one enterprise-wide employee referral program for all field roles, clinical managers, and board certified behavior analysts.
- There is one, easy way to submit a referral at jobs.bayada.com/talentscout. It takes less
than one minute to complete. - We have set, known, reliable payout amounts. The referral cash bonuses are set, role-based amounts. You know what you are getting and you can refer a friend for positions across the company! New amounts are below:

- The payout goes directly to you: The previous Talent Scout Program included a payout bonus that was split between the referring employee and the new hire. Now, the payout is no longer split, it goes directly to you.
- When you refer through our dedicated Talent Scout referral site (jobs.bayada.com/talentscout), you’ll automatically receive your bonus after your referral is hired and meets eligibility requirements—and we’ll keep you informed along the way.
Refer. Reward. Repeat.
The premise of the new Talent Scout Program is simple:
- Refer. Submit a referral through the dedicated Talent Scout website.
- Reward. If your Talent Scout referral is hired and has worked the required amount of time, you automatically receive a bonus in your paycheck.
- Repeat. You can submit as many referrals as you wish—there is no limit! The more new hires, the more clients we can help, the more you are rewarded. It's a win-win-win.
