These North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference (NACFC) Resident Roundtable Awards are offered to medical residents with the intent of introducing them to the field of cystic fibrosis, and to establish a peer group for networking and support.

What is the Resident Roundtable Award?


Program Goal: to introduce medical residents to clinical and research advances related to cystic fibrosis and to develop and maintain an interest in this area of biomedicine.
Selected medical residents across disciplines (any specialty is invited to apply: pediatric, internal medicine, psychiatry, surgery, etc.) will be invited to the 2025 NACFC in Seattle, WA, October 23-25, 2025. Award recipients will have the opportunity to receive:
  • Complimentary conference registration
  • Travel and lodging provided by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
  • Reimbursement up to $200 for associated travel expenses (e.g. ground transportation, airport parking, meals)* 
Participants are expected to participate in an informational and networking luncheon to be hosted on Thursday, October 23rd during NACFC. 
*Note: Reimbursment requests must abide by CFF's Reimbursement Policies.

Resident Roundtable Application

Interested residents must submit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Resident Roundtable application webform. This application requires basic information about the resident and their mentor/sponsor, in addition to four uploads:
  • The applicant's biographical sketch
  • A brief personal statement from the applicant
  • The sponsor's biographical sketch
  • A letter of support from the sponsor

The applicant must be a medical resident from an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-approved training program. Multiple applicants may be nominated from one Center.
