May 15, 2023 was Dr. Moore's first day in her new role as Dean of UNF's graduate school. Her arrival marks the first time in the university's history that there has been a full-time dean in the department. She is preceded by Associate Provost of Faculty & Research, Dr. John Kantner who served in the role as Dean for several years and has been interim dean in the transition period. Deadlines & Commencement
Summer Graduation Applications aredue June 16, 2023. Remind your eligible students to apply!
Summer deadline for fall 2023 Clear Prior status (authorization to graduate without enrollment while completing final edits for thesis or dissertation) is August 8, 2023.
Registration for Fall 2023 and Summer 2023 classes is currently open. Be sure to tell your students to register if they have not already!
Summer enrollment is not required for continuing graduate students. Students admitted for summer must enroll.
Fall enrollment is required for both fall admits and continuing grad students. If you have a current student that cannot take Fall classes, please have them submit the Leave of Absence Request form in Mywings.
The Graduate School grant has been awarded for this year! Thank you all for your help.
Admissions Reminders
If you plan on changing your program's application deadline, starting semester, or program director, you are required to notify the Director of the Graduate School so that the proper accommodations can be made.
If you have a student that was admitted, but cannot start in their application semester, they must email us to request to defer their application, or their admission will be cancelled.

We have recently updated our Graduate Research Grant webpageandapplication to be more informative. Research grants for this year have been awarded and we look forward to awarding more next fiscal year!
George Boston from our office is happy to make classroom visits to your grad classes to provide a biref presentation on the grant and answer any questions.
We highly recommend you reach out to him to schedule a time for a visit! Yes, he will come to your Saturday classes and night classes!
