Paige Lilley

Director of the Graduate School

Serving as the director of the Graduate School since 2022, Paige has been providing service to the Osprey community for over a decade and to the Graduate School for 6 years. Paige is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department and oversees all of the department's staff members. She also leads all aspects of graduate admissions at the university level. If you have questions regarding your program's Slate application requirements, deadlines, and reviewers please feel free to reach out to her!

Advising

  • You can use Banner Advising Sessions and Advising History to keep track of emails and messages you send to individual students. Multiple people are able to access advising, so this is a great way to keep a consistent communication record.
  • It is important to reach out to newly admitted students to advise them of the courses they need to take. This is a common reason why students delay registering and a common question the Graduate School staff receives.
If you are interested in creating a personalized, automated welcome and advising letter for your program that is sent to new admits, please let us know so that we can help you!
These letters may include topics such as:
  • Congratulations (and why your program is awesome!)
  • Welcome message 
  • Attachments (student handbook, forms that need to be signed)
  • Registration instructions (and which courses to take),
  • Canvas course enrollment, Advising contact(s), Link to program information
  • Orientation information, Reply to offer (so you can track admits through Slate),

Registration Reminder

Registration for Fall 2023 classes is currently open. Be sure to tell your students to register if they have not already!.
  • Fall enrollment is required for both fall admits and continuing grad students. If you have a current student that cannot take Fall classes, please have them submit the Leave of Absence Request form in Mywings.
  • Fall classes begin on August 21.
  • The Fall Add/Drop deadline is August 25.

Graduation Reminders

Deadlines & Commencement

  • Summer Graduation Applications have closed. If you have a student that needs to graduate in Summer, please email commencement@unf.edu
  • Summer deadline for fall 2023 Clear Prior status (authorization to graduate without enrollment while completing final edits for thesis or dissertation) is August 8, 2023.
  • Summer Commencement is August 4, 2023.
