Important Change to the Master of Science in Global Health Program

Dear Prospective Students, Universities, Colleges, and Friends of the Eck Institute,

Thank you for your interest in, and support of, the Eck Institute for Global Health’s Master of Science in Global Health program.

We are writing to inform you of an important change for the upcoming academic year (2021-2022). Given a number of global uncertainties, many related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to put this master’s program on hiatus. Therefore, all recruitment, including submitted applications, is now suspended.

We are saddened to make this announcement, but recognize a core requirement of the program is our flagship international capstone research project. Since we cannot guarantee this experience for our students at this time, we are temporarily pausing this program until the international research landscape is more clear.

Once we are able to assure the resumption of international research, we will send another update to you with program details, including new application dates, relevant program changes, and other pertinent details. Additionally, updates about the program will also be available here.

As we navigate these unprecedented times, we thank you for your flexibility and understanding. Should you have any questions about this decision or need information on future program details, please do not hesitate to contact us via email.

Yours in Notre Dame,

Heidi Beidinger-Burnett
Director of the Masters of Science in Global Health Program
