Program Synopsis

Precision: How to Plan Your Way to Reproducible Implant Success
Lyndon Cooper, DDS, PhD

This lecture will provide dentists with a path to reproducible excellence in dental implant restoration that is based on more than 10 years of continued research on the outcomes of dental implants. Dr. Cooper will share consistent clinical protocols for reproducing extraordinary esthetic results for single tooth implants, excellent overdenture outcomes and robust full arch restorations. He'll illustrate basic principles that can be easily followed and consistently included in treatment planning. Rules for treatment of single tooth restorations, mandibular edentulism and maxillary edentulism using dental implants will be reviewed. The advocated approach simplifies daily management of the implant patient in practice and is integrated with the staff, the laboratory and the dentist to assure seamless communication.
Learning objectives:
  • Understand the basis for and how to apply the ‘rules of six’ for treatment planning and execution of single tooth dental implant therapy.
  • Appreciate the role of restorative space in planning mandibular implant prostheses and how the “rules of ten” guide success.
  • Be able to apply the “Four Ds” of maxillary implant treatment planning to all patients requiring maxillary implant rehabilitation
