Open Enrollment benefit elections for the 2023 calendar year will be open Oct. 31-Nov. 18, 2022.
During that time, you will have the opportunity to enroll, cancel or make changes to your benefits through your account in ESS. The deadline to make your elections is Friday, Nov. 18 at 11 PM. All full-time and part-time employees MUST either elect or decline the medical and dental plans in ESS.
Human Resources will be sending out communications about changes to the 2023 plan by email, intranet and postal mail. Please make sure your home address is up-to-date in ESS.

The Benefits Fair is back! You will have the opportunity to meet with the Benefits Team, our insurance carriers and other vendors. The Benefits Team and other members of HR will be on hand to help answer any benefit-related questions and to help employees with their 2023 Open Enrollment elections. Managers, please try and allow your employees to visit the fair if staffing allows.
Wednesday, Nov. 9: 10:00 AM-8:00 PM
Thursday, Nov. 10: 7:00 AM-5:00 PM
Long Term Care
Long-term care (LTC) planning is an important part of a personal financial plan. As we age, the likelihood of needing LTC increases and the cost of home care can exceed $40,000/year. Your health insurance, disability benefit and Medicare do not cover most LTC costs. Also, LTC isn’t just for the elderly. An accident or prolonged illness means the need for LTC services can happen to anyone at any age.
During Open Enrollment, CHUBB is offering guarantee-issued policies for any FT or PT employee that would like to enroll.  Click here for a pre-recorded webinar about Long-Term Care.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Enrollment in the Health Care Flexible Spending and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts must be done each year. Flexible Spending Accounts are elected annually and are set to automatically cancel at the end of each year.
Non-Smoker Premium Reduction
Employees currently receiving the Non-Smoker Premium Reduction will continue to receive the $15 per pay period discount on health premiums for 2023. If you are new to the plan or need to re-test, please stop by HR no later than Wednesday, Nov. 23 to complete the nicotine screening test.
