Her Story

Nia'Ja Mack, FNP-C
Nia’Ja Mack, FNP-C, joined Woman’s Hospital in 2014 and became a nurse practitioner in 2018. She provides care to women with gynecologic cancers and works closely with GYN oncologists to directly support patients from the beginning of their cancer journey through the surveillance period.
“It is important for women to work in women’s health because we need an advocate and someone to relate to and understand our issues. Here at Woman’s Hospital, women have some of their most joyous and difficult moments. In both instances, women deserve love and support.”

Emergency Systems Test

Facilities Management will test the Emergency Power Systems on Friday, March 17, from 4:30-6:45 AM. During this time, all emergency power to the hospital will be provided via the emergency generators. Contact the Director of Facilities Management, Martin Albores, with any questions or concerns.
During that time, expect the following:
  • Emergency power sources in your area will switch off and then back on at the beginning and end of the test (red outlets).
  • To prevent any carriers from getting lost, the Pneumatic Tube system will be shut down from 4:15-7:00 AM.
  • Elevators will not be available from 4:30-4:35 AM and again between 5:10-5:25 AM in five-minute intervals. (NOTE: If you are on an elevator when it shuts down, it will let you off at the first floor before shutting down.)
Please report any equipment that fails to operate on critical or emergency power circuits as soon as possible.

Department Recognition

Healthcare HR & Education Week is designated to recognize human resources and staff education professionals in healthcare organizations across the nation for their important role across the continuum of care. Our HR and Education teams at Woman's respond to institutional and external needs around recruitment, hiring, training and compliance. So while you're caring for patients, they are caring for you. Thank you for all that you do for Woman's.
