Be a Champ, Donate Blood

Employee Blood Drive begins this week at Woman's
Blood banks have seen a drastic decrease in donors in recent times, affecting patients all over — including right here at Woman's. If you are able to give, please consider donating blood or plasma at our employee blood drive this week at Woman's Hospital. As a thank you for helping save a life, all donors will receive an LSU-inspired T-shirt.

Weather Updates

Baton Rouge is under a slight risk of heavy rain and a marginal risk of severe weather now through Tuesday evening.
Currently, the areas south of I-12 is expected to have heavy rain while all of Southeast Louisiana and South Mississippi can anticipate severe weather threats.
What to expect:
  • 2-4 inches of rainfall with higher amounts possible locally. Expect pooling water in low-lying areas and there is a potential for localized flash flooding.
  • There is the possibility for wind gusts greater than 60 mph, large hail up to 1 inch in diameter and tornadoes.
Please contact your supervisor immediately in the event of a scheduling conflict. Remember to use caution as you travel to and from work this afternoon and evening, and allow for extra time on your commute. Remember to travel slowly through the parking lot and avoid any standing water. The Emergency Management department will continue to monitor the weather and will communicate updates as needed.
