For the past several months, we have highlighted two of the Dane County students participating in local government through the Youth in Governance Program (YGP). Each youth representative is appointed to a Dane County Board committee and is matched with a County Board Supervisor to serve as a mentor. In addition to learning how county government functions, the YGP representatives bring youth voices to local government decisions. Read on to learn about Emily and Ronan and their experience in the Youth Governance Program.
