Snapology Summer Programs in Spring Grove

Snapology is excited to once again offer a variety of super fun program options! Children will work on age appropriate projects. Each day will include outdoor play, weather permitting. Sunscreen and dressing for outdoor play is recommended. Please pack a refillable water bottle and snack each day.  These are drop off programs students attend independently. Students must be fully potty trained.  Sessions 1-2 & 5-10 are located at an Horse Fair Park at 8105 Blivin St. in Spring Grove. Sessions 3 & 4 are located at Oak Valley Park at 3006 Monterra Dr, in Spring Grove. Registration will taken by the Village of Spring Grove.

June 7th | Summer Kick-Off Party (Ages 4-14)
🎵 School’s out for summer! Who’s ready to have an epic summer break? Let’s have a blast playing games, music and getting creative with art and LEGO® projects too! Dress to get messy!
June 9th | Junior Engineers: Balance (Ages 4-7)
Young students build fun and simple models using DUPLO® blocks. By playing with and manipulating the models, they experience pulleys, levers, gears, wheels and axles while exploring energy, buoyancy, and balance. Classes include free-building time to promote creativity. 
    June 9th | Foundational Engineers: Balance (Ages 8-14)
Does your little learner love to tinker and create new things, or are they the kind of learner who likes to break things apart to see what’s inside? If so, they’re going to love Snapology’s Foundational Engineering: Machines and Contraptions program! This program gives your student the tools they need to understand mechanical movement and the importance of simple machines. They will see these moving parts up-close as they follow instructions to build various machines and contraptions, then use the models to develop new design ideas, test out physics concepts, and even play games with their partners and classmates. Whether they are the creative-constructive type or prefer the inquisitive-deconstructive way of learning, this program is sure to spark their engineering interests!

June 21st | Discovering Dinosaurs (Ages 4-14)

Dinosaurs, fossils, and cool discoveries! Join Snapology each day for a camp based on incredible dinos like T-Rex and brachiosaurus. We will study omnivores, carnivores, and more! Plus campers will learn the difference between paleontologists and archaeologists as we study ancient ruins, fossils, and treasures from the past. Let's dig!

June 24nd | Ocean Exploration (Ages 4-14)

Students will discover all sorts of fun in the ocean in this interdisciplinary camp that uses various STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts & math) concepts to teach children about their underwater friends. Your learner will be too busy underwater exploring, building and creating to realize that they are also gaining critical social and developmental skills.

July 6 & 7 | 9:30AM-12PM
July 6th | Friendship Rocks! (Ages 4-14) 
Edgar Degas, a famous artist, once said, 'Art is not what you see, but what you make others see'. As your child learns about different types of art and the periods they were created, students will be interpreting what they see and creating their own works of art using LEGO® bricks. Your little artist will use their talents to decorate friendship rocks to share with the world!
July 7th | Snapology Superheroes (Ages 4-7)
To the Batcave, LEGO® brick fans! In this program, your learner will create their very own superheroes, design secret hideouts, and build epic battle scenes with their classmates. Your little superhero is sure to have a blast creating a fantasy world full of their favorite characters and planets from both the DC and Marvel universes. Everyone is destined to unleash some of their own superpowers in this super program!
     July 7th  | Science of Superpowers (Ages 8-14)
In Snapology's Science of Superpowers program, children will learn about the science behind their favorite heroes' powers. Students will learn about gravity, aerodynamics, forces, motion, and much more as they learn about flight, super villain fights, and superhero vehicles.

July 19th | Space Science (Ages 4-14)

Space fans will study our solar system, including planets and stars in this out of this world Snapology camp! Learn how astronomers examine the universe and track the stars, how objects orbit around each other in space, and other fundamental Astronomy concepts. 

       July 21st  | Junior Engineers: Gears (Ages 4-7)

August 4th | Castles, Kingdoms & Wizards, Inspired by Harry Potter (Ages 4-14)
Accio! We’re so glad you’re able to join us for some spell-binding fun! In this program, your learner will explore the magical world that surrounds Harry Potter and creatively design ways to bring their imagination to life. Riddikulus, there’s nothing scary here, just creative fun that will open doors to new possibilities – Alohomora – and let your learner’s love of magical possibilities fly- Wingardium Leviosa!

June 14th | Father's Day Gift Workshop (Ages 4-14)

Join  Snapology for a Father's Day  Gift Workshop! Students will be guided step by step on how to build a custom LEGO® themed gift for the special man in their life using LEGO® bricks and a whole lot of creativity. We'll build the gift, make a creative card, and wrap it up, so it is ready to be given to dad, grandpa,  uncle, friend, or whoever that special someone is. In addition, we will have time for some fun LEGO building challenges!

June 16th | Madrigal Magic Inspired by Encanto (Ages 4-14)

In this Encanto-inspired workshop, your learner will embrace their inner magic and develop models that represent the qualities that make them special while putting their imaginations to the test! We want your learner to walk away from this workshop with a concrete idea of how they would fit into the magical Madrigal family and how they would help the community with their special gifts. Most importantly, we will give them challenges that will help develop their engineering and critical thinking skills in a super fun way.

June 29th | Minifigure Mania (Ages 4-14)
During this camp we will let you play with our secret stash of mini-figures...from movie characters, to sea creatures, to superheroes!  Join us as we shrink ourselves to mini-figure size and create our own mini-figure worlds. Welcome to mini-figure mania!
June 30th | 4th of July Workshop (Ages 4-14) 
Dress in your red, white and blues and join Snapology as we get ready to celebrate Independence Day!  Patriotic activities and LEGO® builds such as American flags and LEGO® mosaic fireworks.

July 12th | Pirate Adventure (Ages 4-7)

Avast, me hearties! All ye landlubbers will love building and creating together in this swashbuckling STEM workshop. Using LEGO bricks, you'll build a pirate's treasure map, experiment to see if you can build a ship that's seaworthy, and craft a pirate hide-out where you can hide your booty! Along the way, you'll play pirate-themed games, learn a little pirate lingo, and adopt a cool pirate-y name! You won't want to miss this daring adventure--and if ye do, ye might have to walk the plank!
July 12th | Amusement Park Engineering (Ages 8-14)

Design your own amusement park in this super fun program! Learn how to use LEGO® bricks and other building materials to make coasters and other awesome rides. Can you design the next Disney World?

July 14th  | Brick City (4-7)

Does your builder enjoy designing beautiful buildings and cities for their mini-figures? If so, this workshop is the perfect space for your young architect or city planner to sharpen their design and building skills! In this workshop, students will learn all about the importance of collaboration, careful planning, and skillful execution of their building plans.

   July 14th |  Superstructures (Ages 8-14)

Does your builder enjoy designing beautiful buildings or functional spaces for their mini-figures? If so, this program is the perfect space for your young architect to sharpen their design and building skills! All buildings, from the Empire State Building to the house next door, started as an idea in an architect’s head. Students will learn how to take an idea from their head and turn it into a building in the real world. They will be guided through the building process, from creating a floor plan to disaster-proofing the structure, so that they will be able to create the next best thing in LEGO® architecture!

July 26th | Planes, Trains & Automobiles (Ages 4-14)
In Snapology’s Planes, Trains, and Automobiles program, children will explore the world of transportation. Students will build models of their favorite forms of transportation as they learn about energy, wheels and axles, air resistance, and more.

July 28th | Pokémania Workshop (Ages 4-7) 
Come join Snapology for Pokemania. Students will build and explore the world of Pokémon as they create their own gyms, battles, and even their very own generation of Pokémon. Children will also learn about real world science as they learn about the habitats of the Pokémon . Your child will have a blast becoming the best Pokémon trainer ever.

 July 28th  | Roblox™ Workshop (Ages 8-14)
Does your student love Roblox™? Is there a game they just can’t seem to get enough of? In this Snapology camp, students will explore their favorite Roblox™ adventures by using LEGO® bricks and creating interactive games! From designing an Obby to building a 3-D character skin, students will be fully immersed in the gameplay and game design of Roblox™!

August 9th | Back To School Teacher Gift Workshop
(Ages 4-14) 
We can’t believe it’s already time to start thinking about Back to School! Let us take one thing off your plate- a gift for your child’s new teacher!  What is better than a heartfelt gift handmade with love by a child? And the best part, the fun your child will have using their creativity! This is a great way to wrap up your child's awesome summer!
August 11th | Sports Science (Ages 4-14) 
Let’s have a Field Day, Snapology style! In this camp, children will learn the science behind their favorite sports. Students will learn about momentum, energy, measurement, air pressure, and much more as they perform simple experiments related to sports. Perfect for both sports and science lovers, this fun interactive program exercises both the body and the mind.
