Why Snapology?

Why Snapology?

What are Snapology Programs Like?

What does a day at an in-person camp look like?
Kicking off the day: Drop off begins at 8:50 am for morning camps and 12:20 pm for afternoon camps. While everyone is arriving, we will keep their hands and minds busy with fun "free-time" activities. Children are REQUIRED to be accompanied by an adult to bring them in for camp each day.
During Camp: Your child will participate in several hands-on projects, activities, and group games related to the theme of the week.
Video-Game Themed Camps: There is no video-game play in our in-person camps themed after popular video games (like Minecraft® or Fortnite®). Instead, we will bring their favorite video games to life as we build worlds, build characters, create and play games, and face hands-on challenges all related to that game they can't seem to put down!
In-person Camps with Screen-time: Video Game Design Camp is entirely on laptops. Animation Studio/Movie Making Camps use tablets for making and modifying movies. Robotics camps will use tablets for coding purposes only.
Breaks and Free-time: Children will participate in free time each day.  We will take breaks around 10:30 am and 2:30 pm each day on all camps. Full-day campers will also take a break at noon each day.  During our breaks, we will eat a snack (or lunch) and have some free time to play. Weather permitting, children will go outside and play on the playground or lawn (location dependent). If weather does not permit, we will play activities and movement games inside.
Snacks and Lunch: Please pack a NUT-FREE non-perishable snack and water for your child to have during break. For full-day campers, please pack two NUT-FREE snacks and a NUT-FREE non-perishable lunch.
Wrapping up the day: Pick-up is at12 pm for the morning camps and 3:30 pm for the afternoon camps. An adult MUST come inside to pick up children each day.
Pick-up and Drop-off Safety: On the first day of camp, we will give you a pick-up card with your child's name.  The person picking up your child must either show us the pick-up card or a government-issued photo ID to pick up your child. Please be sure to list the people who may pick up your child when you register or communicate the names of the people permitted to pick up your child to the staff when you drop your child off each day.
FAQs
What is your cancellation/change policy? Not ready to commit? We get it! You can switch to another camp for free up to 2 weeks before your original camp begins (refund available minus $15 processing fee). You can also take 100% Snapology credit for a future camp if plans change. If a change is made on our end (including COVID-related), you will get the option of a 100% refund or credit for a different camp. We are all about flexibility these days! Keep in mind that these policies only apply to camps registered directly through Snapology of Camp Hill, as we cannot control policies by third-parties.
Can my child take projects home? Snapology camps are experience-based camps where students use high-end technology such as tablets, laptops, LEGO® robotics, LEGO® Technic engineering bricks and components, and LEGO® creative bricks in hands-on projects. Unless specifically stated in the camp description as having a make-n-take component, children do not keep the projects they build. Our goal is to provide experiences that are fun, interactive, and educational through play and experimentation using technology that students may not have access to at home.
Is there a waitlist if I can't reserve the times and days that I want? When a session sells out, we will start a waitlist.  People on the waitlist will be notified in order if/when a spot opens up. (Book early to avoid being on a waitlist!)
Do Snapology camps appeal to all ages? One of the best things about Snapology is its wide appeal to children of all ages. We host a variety of camps for children from 4 years old to 14 years old.
Each camp lists the minimum age and a recommended maximum age based on the subject matter, but older students are welcome. We have a selection of locations and weeks that simultaneously run a camp designed for younger students and a camp designed for older students.
Can I extend the camp time?  Some locations offer optional extended care from 8-9am and 3:30-5pm for an extra fee (child must be enrolled in full-day camp).
What is Snapology?

Snapology is a hands-on S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) education program teaching children ages 2-14 to think, build, and create using Robotics, Engineering, LEGO® bricks, and Technology. Our programs are designed to promote teamwork and inspire creativity through educational play.
