What does a day at an in-person camp look like?
Kicking off the day: Drop off begins at 8:50 am for morning camps and 12:20 pm for afternoon camps. While everyone is arriving, we will keep their hands and minds busy with fun "free-time" activities. Children are REQUIRED to be accompanied by an adult to bring them in for camp each day.
During Camp: Your child will participate in several hands-on projects, activities, and group games related to the theme of the week.
Video-Game Themed Camps: There is no video-game play in our in-person camps themed after popular video games (like Minecraft® or Fortnite®). Instead, we will bring their favorite video games to life as we build worlds, build characters, create and play games, and face hands-on challenges all related to that game they can't seem to put down!
In-person Camps with Screen-time: Video Game Design Camp is entirely on laptops. Animation Studio/Movie Making Camps use tablets for making and modifying movies. Robotics camps will use tablets for coding purposes only.
Breaks and Free-time: Children will participate in free time each day. We will take breaks around 10:30 am and 2:30 pm each day on all camps. Full-day campers will also take a break at noon each day. During our breaks, we will eat a snack (or lunch) and have some free time to play. Weather permitting, children will go outside and play on the playground or lawn (location dependent). If weather does not permit, we will play activities and movement games inside.
Snacks and Lunch: Please pack a NUT-FREE non-perishable snack and water for your child to have during break. For full-day campers, please pack two NUT-FREE snacks and a NUT-FREE non-perishable lunch.
Wrapping up the day: Pick-up is at12 pm for the morning camps and 3:30 pm for the afternoon camps. An adult MUST come inside to pick up children each day.
Pick-up and Drop-off Safety: On the first day of camp, we will give you a pick-up card with your child's name. The person picking up your child must either show us the pick-up card or a government-issued photo ID to pick up your child. Please be sure to list the people who may pick up your child when you register or communicate the names of the people permitted to pick up your child to the staff when you drop your child off each day.
