My Favorite Travel Shoes

Me and my son in Croatia with my Børn sandals.
As a luxury travel advisor, I travel a lot, and I insist on packing light. Even for a three week trip to Europe, I travel with only one carry-on size suitcase and one personal item. Shoes are always an issue because I can't take very many!
I am also very picky. Not just any shoes will do; naturally they have to be stylish and  comfortable. I am not particularly fond of "comfort" shoe brands because they just aren't cute enough for me.
Over the years, I've developed some favorite brands, and I just found a couple of new pairs of shoes I love. Check out my favorites below. I am not getting any affiliate revenue for these suggestions (can anyone help with that? 😂). I just love them.
Børn
I have owned several pairs of Børn shoes over the years; at least three pairs of sandals and a pair of boots. They are all stylish, super comfortable and made to last. My first pair of Børn sandals accompanied me on my kids' first trip to Barcelona and felt heavenly even after walking 13 miles our first day in the city.
I don't know how long I've had my Børn boots (pictured below), but I do know that they have walked all over Paris, Budapest and Vienna to just name a few destinations.
I bought my the Børn sandals pictured above only because the last pair weren't really in style anymore. The new ones have trekked through Hawaii, Mexico, Greece and Croatia, and still have a lot of life left in them. I just bought a new style of Børn sandals and am waiting to receive them. I will be sure to let you know how I like them!
Cole Haan
I had been looking for a pair of white, platform sneakers for a long time when I recently stumbled across a pair from Cole Haan (below). I immediately grabbed them and they haven't let me down. Not only are they comfortable, but unlike most platform tennis shoes, they are very lightweight! I now have them in black too.
These sneakers have been to Amsterdam, Prague, the Carribean, Belize, Honduras, Ireland, Scotland, France, Mexico, Croatia and Greece, and more! I love them so much I wear them at home in Oakland, too.

Rothy's
I also really like Rothy's slip-on tennis shoes. They are stylish, light and made from recycled water bottles. Rothy's has a ton of other cute styles too.
Allbirds
Unlike many people, I actually don't like Allbirds sneakers. They are just not stylish enough for me. But if you are looking for a comfortable pair of flats, check out the options from Allbirds. I purchased these flats at the same time as my Rothy's sneakers and they are actually MORE comfortable because they have a little more arch support. They also have a removeable insert that is washable.
I've taken these flats on trips when I had to pack extremely light and they doubled as a daytime shoe for miles of walking, as well as a dress up shoe to wear to dinner (see below).

Clarks
I LOVE the Clarks heels below. They are perfect if you want a comfortable heel. I love heels in general, but can't walk too far in them so mostly wear them when there is not a lot of walking required. However, these Clarks are soooo comfortable. I take them whenever I need to dress up on a business trip or need to walk a bit more.
Clark heels are actually comfortable (for a heel).
Inez
As a bonus, I'm throwing in these gorgeous Inez strappy heels. I will admit, I am not going to walk very far in them. They really are not that comfortable. But, Inez makes heels that it claims are more comfortable than the average heel and, more importantly (when I don't have to walk a lot), they are stunning. Inez shoes are beautifully made in Spain. Enjoy!
Not the most comfortable shoes I own, but I adore these Inez heels.
