Our overall wellbeing comprises many aspects of our life. To help you get through student life, we have some great tips and programs to help you to support your wellbeing.

Mindset

How we interpret the world and the events that happen to us can impact our mood and wellbeing. There are many tools you can use to help you to cope with life situations and change your mindset.

One of these tools is the practice of meditation and mindfulness.  Join us for twice-weekly drop-in mindfulness and meditation sessions online, where you'll have the opportunity to learn and practice some techniques together with a facilitator and other like-minded students.

Nutrition

Eating well not only has benefits for your physical health but it can impact other areas of your life, including your academic performance.

Sometimes it might feel a bit overwhelming to understand what foods are good for you, knowing how to cook healthy (and tasty) food at home and doing all this on a student budget.

Connections

Creating meaningful connections with the people in our lives and the community we belong to is a really important part of our mental wellbeing. Sometimes, because so many things in life demand our attention, we don't always prioritise time for discovery, fun and play with others.

Making connections, building friendships and becoming a part of a community hasn't been easy in the last year. So wherever you are in the world, we've put together some fun events this semester to help you to discover Sydney, get to know other students and hopefully make some new friends.

Movement

A healthy mind lives in a healthy body, or as the timeless Latin proverb goes "mens sana in corpore sano". While it's common knowledge that we need to exercise for our overall health, did you know it can also help to optimise your academic performance?
We've put together some great ideas on how you can fit movement into your busy student life, whether you're studying in Sydney or overseas.

Should You Really Be Active Every Day?
For expert tips on how much and what kind of exercise you should do, and how it can benefit your academic performance, watch our Wellness Webinar with PhD student Bridget Foley from the Faculty of Medicine and Health.
