Are you bored of staying inside after a year of studying online and keen to get out and explore this beautiful city?
We have put together a range of events to help you discover what Sydney has to offer and the chance to meet your peers along the way.
Check out our upcoming events exclusively for current international students at The University of Sydney. 
Registration for in person events
Due to COVID-19 public health restrictions, there are restrictions on the number of participants for each in person activity.

Please only register for a maximum of ONE in-person event below to allow other students the chance to participate as well. You will be removed from any additional events if you register for more than one activity.
Register early as numbers are strictly limited for each event. Once you have registered, you will receive an email to confirm your attendance.

Please ensure you are free to attend the event at the date and time listed. Do not miss class to attend as your studies are very important and there will be more events throughout the year to join in.

You are welcome to register for as many online events as you wish and these are also great opportunities to experience Sydney and learn new skills.

The Opera House

7 April 2021 
Experience an exclusive tour of one of Sydney's most iconic tourist attractions!
Join us for a tour of the Sydney Opera House - one of Sydney's most iconic tourist attractions! You will be treated to an exclusive guided tour, where you will uncover the stories, history and magic of the Sydney Opera House, and discover why it inspires so many locals and tourists alike. 
After the tour, we will talk a stroll through the Rocks to the Australian Heritage Hotel , where you will be able to enjoy a free lunch with other international students from across the University and sample some Aussie cuisine!

Spit to Manly Walk

7 April 2021 
Discover one of Sydney's most scenic costal walks this mid-sem break!
During the walk you will have the chance to enjoy the beautiful scenery, fresh air, sunshine and to connect with other international students. Once we finish the walk in Manly, return home on one of the iconic Manly ferries to finish off the day, and make your own way home from there.

The Bush!

8 April 2021 
Discover Aboriginal cultural heritage in the beautiful Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.
This exclusive day trip will take you on a cultural journey with Guringai Aboriginal Tours, where you will learn about how the traditional custodians cared for the land. You'll visit sites with rock art and engravings from thousands of years ago all within the beautiful surroundings of one of Sydney's most beautiful national parks. Join your peers for a FREE day trip to the spectacular Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and immerse yourself in Aboriginal Cultural heritage.

Looking to get the creative juices flowing? You don’t need to be Picasso for this painting session!
Join in 3 hours of creative fun with fellow students at a private painting session at Cork and Canvas with all art materials provided and some snacks too.

SKYWALK Tour - Sydney Tower

22 and 23 April 2021 
Step out into the open air on the tallest building in Sydney for a breath-taking 60 minute SKYWALK tour!
You'll be walking on air at the highest outdoor viewpoint (268m) in this city, with the CBD directly beneath your feet, while our friendly guides point out iconic landmarks and share the best of Sydney stories.

Cycling in Centennial Park

27 April and 6 May 2021 
Meet your peers and enjoy the picturesque parklands whilst cycling. Why not make the most of Sydneys beautiful surroundings and join us in Centennial Park, where we have organised FREE bicycle hire for up to 4 hours and a little picnic stop in the middle.

Getting excited....well you should be!
Here is a sneak peak of what you can expect if you attend on of our popular events.
Disclaimer: events may be cancelled, postponed or amended due to changes in public health requirements or extreme weather warnings. Attendees will be advised prior to the event of any changes. 
Conditions of entry:
  • If you are feeling unwell or experiencing flu like symptoms, please stay home
  • Practice social distancing at all times: keep a distance of 1.5 metres between you and other people wherever possible; and avoid shaking hands or any other physical contact
  • Wash your hands with soap and water (or use hand sanitiser) frequently
  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when coughing and sneezing or use your elbow, not your hands
  • Wear a mask, particularly on public transport or in other situations where physical distancing is not possible.
  • Check the  NSW Public Health website for the current public health advice in relation to locations where people who visited are required to self-isolate.
