Join us on Monday, October 5, 2026 Join us for celebration and learning in honor of National Midwifery Week. This one-day conference will be a gathering of practitioners and thought leaders offering space for conversation, community connection, and reclamation of joy in birth. 
We are honored to have State Controller Malia Cohen joining us for the event. 

Check in will open at 9:30 am and the program will being promptly at 10 am. We will hear from Controller Malia Cohen, midwives and birthworkers, birth justice advocates and community leaders. Attendees will have the opportunity to share their perspectives with policy makers.
Lunch will be provided. There will be a play and quiet area for children in the auditorium but children must be  supervised by their caretakers. 
This is event is free and open to the public but registration is required.

at UC Law
UC Law is easily accessible via Muni and BART and we encourage attendees to use public transit. You can look up transit and driving directions here. The UC Law parking garage is at 376 Larkin Street. Details are available here. Please note we cannot pay or reimburse for parking. 
Logistics and Accessing 
the Space 
The auditorium is at 198 McAllister and is ADA accessible. All attendees will need to check in at registration and wear a name badge during the event. Classes will be in session and attendees will need to stay in the event space areas only.
