Empower. Support. Honor.
We consider supporting students to be one of our top priorities, and hope that everyone reading this article both knows and feels this dedication. We do our best with what we have, though we are unfortunately limited by resources. There is an important way that you can help our program to do what we most desire in a way that honors you, the UNCG Genetic Counseling Program, as well as the past, present and future of the genetic counseling profession.
The Nancy P. Callanan Genetic Counseling Student Enrichment Fund provides genetic counseling students with funds to support their professional development. This includes travel to the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) meeting, capstone projects, and other opportunities to enhance personal and academic growth.

We are truly thankful for our alumni and program supporters - every dollar makes a difference. Even donations of $10 or $20 add up and make a big difference on their journey of become a genetic counselor. During this season of giving, we urge you to consider contributing to the Nancy P. Callanan Genetic Counseling Student Enrichment Fund to honor, support and empower.
To donate online, go to our website (http://gen.uncg.edu) and click the yellow “Make a Gift” button. Or you can go directly to the HHS Giving Website. Please select the “Nancy P. Callanan Genetic Counseling Enrichment Fund.”

Donations can be made in single amounts or small monthly increments throughout the year. A $10 monthly donation may have a minimal impact for you, and a major one for a student. For $24 per month ($6 a week!) you could cover a student’s registration to NSGC – one of the major financial burdens for second year students.

You may also mail a check payable to the “Nancy P. Callanan Genetic Counseling Enrichment Fund” directly to the program at:

Thank you in advance for your support. Any amount can make a significant difference to a student in need.
