Rejuvenate Your Skin, Hair, & Body..... Naturally!
Dr. Roberto Penne - Casanova, MD

PRP is in the category of regenerative autologous treatments, which means it comes from your own blood and can stimulate cellular regeneration and tissue repair. Platelets are one of the cells in our blood, and when activated, they can release growth factors and other proteins.

PRP is acquired when a small amount of blood is drawn in the office. The blood is placed in a device called a centrifuge that spins the blood rapidly extracting platelets. The practitioner will topically numb the area being treated, and inject or microneedle the concentrated plasma into the area being treated. This generally takes about 30 minutes to an hour.  In cases where PRP is being used cosmetically, it can be combined with filler to enhance, lift, and contour the skin. Generally, this is done in multiple treatments to achieve best results.  Everyone is unique, so the number of treatments needed depends on the person, the area being treated, and the underlying reasons for the therapy.  For cosmetic purposes, generally you will see improvement in 1-3 treatments. For sexual health in women, usually 1 – 2 sessions is enough to feel results, incontinence may require additional sessions done initially in monthly intervals. For mens sexual health improvement, three sessions are generally performed a month apart. When PRP therapy is used for hair restoration, 3-6 sessions are generally recommended with 1 every six months to a year for maintenance depending on the cause of hair loss.
