Dr. James Schaus, MD

Dr. Schaus serves as UCF Student Health Services Medical Director and spent 17 years with Physician Associates in Maitland before joining UCF Student Health Services in 2001. A graduate of the George Washington University School of Medicine, he completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Florida. Dr. Schaus is specifically interested in the research of high-risk drinking prevention and preventive college health.

Rachelle Stone, PA-C 

Rachelle is a certified physician assistant who earned both a bachelor of health science degree and a master of physician assistant studies degree from the University of Florida. Her area of interest includes primary care focusing on diabetes and endocrinology, specifically focusing on treating students with type 1 diabetes as they transition into college. Rachelle is actively involved with UCF Type 1, an educational and social group for UCF students with diabetes.

Megan Giddens, LCSW

Megan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Social Work, both earned from UCF. Prior to joining UCF, Megan worked at a non-profit providing outpatient substance use treatment to adolescents. Megan’s theoretical framework with students includes the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing.

Randi Richardson,

PT, DPT, SCS, OCS

Randi Richardson is Clinical Assistant Professor in the School of Kinesiology and Physical Therapy.  She provides physical therapy care to the UCF community in the UCF Physical Therapy Clinic and assists with mentorship and clinical instruction of doctoral students in the UCF Doctor of Physical Therapy program.  She graduated with her doctoral degree in physical therapy from the University of Mississippi in 2010. She received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Sports Medicine from Mississippi College in 2007, where she also played collegiate softball.

Carlos Gual, EdD, LAT, ATC

Carlos J. Gual is an instructor for the Athletic Training Program at the University of Central Florida. He received his bachelor’s degree in athletic training from the University of Central Florida, and he earned his master’s degree in physical education – sports administration from the University of New Mexico. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in higher education and policy studies through the College of Education and Human Performance at UCF.

Martha Garcia-Stout,

PharmD, JD

Martha Garcia-Stout, a registered and licensed pharmacist, earned her pharmacy doctorate (Pharm D) in 1997, followed by a juris doctorate degree in 2007. Her unique education, training, and experience has been put to good use at UCF where she has served as a faculty member since 2014. Initially, Garcia-Stout taught undergraduate and graduate courses focusing on legal issues for students enrolled in the Sport and Exercise Sciences program. In 2019, she accepted a position in the Department of Health Sciences where she teaches Introduction to Pharmacology and Professional Development in the Health Professions.

Vicki Lewis, MA, CCC-SLP

Vicki Lewis is an academic instructor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at UCF.  She graduated from Kent State University (Kent, OH) with a Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 1993.  Prior to her work as a full-time instructor at UCF, Vicki worked for over 25 years in a variety of medically based settings, serving as a clinical speech-language pathologist as well as in leadership roles which included interviewing and hiring staff, providing clinical supervision, creating and enhancing clinical programs, interdisciplinary collaboration/education, and research
