Explore Diocletian's Palace FREE- This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the heart of Split and a must-visit attraction for any visitor to the city. Many travelers expect Diocletian’s Palace to be a standalone building where they pay a ticket and go in. Well, Diocletian’s Palace is actually a whole neighborhood today — and it represents more than half of the old town of Split! People live inside it and you can even stay overnight in it. The palace was built in the fourth century AD for Roman emperor Diocletian. Today, walking through the stone walls feels like you’re part of history.

Climb Marjan Hill
- FREE- Located just a short walk from the city center, Marjan Hill offers stunning views of Split and the Adriatic Sea. Hike to the top of Marjan Hill for stunning panoramic views of Split and the surrounding islands. Enjoy a peaceful walk through the pine forests, visit the ancient chapels scattered throughout the hillside, and relax on one of the many secluded beaches along the coast. There are two ways to climb to the top of Marjan Hill: you can either take the stairs or do the forest hike. If you make it to the top, you’ll see a Croatian flag and a large cross 178 meters high. Kasjuni is another great beach located at the base of Marjan Hill, with one of the best views from the water.

Visit the Cathedral of Saint Domnius - Located within Diocletian's Palace, this cathedral is a stunning example of Romanesque architecture. The cathedral was built on the site of Diocletian's mausoleum and features a unique bell tower that is integrated into the palace walls. Visit this impressive cathedral, one of the oldest in the world, dating back to the 7th century. Climb to the top of the bell tower for breathtaking views of Split and beyond, and explore the crypt where the remains of Saint Domnius are said to be enshrined.

    Stroll through the Riva Promenade -FREE- Stroll along the bustling Riva (riverfront) Promenade, lined with cafes, restaurants, and shops. Enjoy a leisurely coffee or ice cream while people-watching, take a sunset cruise along the waterfront, or simply soak up the lively atmosphere of this popular gathering spot.

    Visit the Archaeological Museum - (fee, 8 ) Located in the heart of the city, this museum houses a vast collection of artifacts from Croatia's rich history, including Roman mosaics, medieval armor, and ancient coins.

    Explore the Bacvice Beach - This popular sandy beach is located just a short walk from the city center and is a great place to soak up the sun, swim in the turquoise waters of the Adriatic, sunbathe on the sandy shore, and indulge in some local cuisine at one of the nearby beachfront restaurants.You can also enjoy a variety of water sports. Kasjuni is another great beach located at the base of Marjan Hill, with one of the best views from the water.

    Visit the Green Market - Located in the heart of the city, this bustling market is filled with fresh produce, seafood, and other local delicacies. It's a great place to sample traditional Croatian cuisine and mingle with the locals.

    Meštrović Gallery:(fee) Discover the works of Croatia's most famous sculptor, Ivan Meštrović, at his former residence-turned-gallery. Admire his masterful sculptures, paintings, and architectural designs, set against the backdrop of a beautiful garden overlooking the sea. Entry is 12 Euro and is just a 15 min walk from the Riva Promenade.

Don’t worry if you haven’t! Croatia’s vineyards tend to be small properties, so they’re not able to export internationally on a significant level. They offer a variety of wines: from the rich red Dingač of the Pelješac peninsula to the light and fruity Malvasia of Istria, to the deep and minerally Grk of Korčula. Chops Grill Steak & Seafood is a modern steakhouse offering prime meats from all over the world, our in house dry aged meat and meat dishes, local fish steaks and some contemporary pastas and salads. The main grill is in the dining area, offering a great view of our grill master in action. It is perfectly located just off the main Marmontova street, and still set in a way that offers enough space and privacy for our guests. The restaurant has a smoking and a non smoking section.
