Trogir Marina, Croatia

Sept 28, 2024
Trogir Walking Tour & Jurlinovi Dvori

Today's adventure starts with a beautiful scenic drive along our way to Trogir, a picturesque coastal town, a mesmerizing blend of medieval charm and Adriatic beauty. Here, its well-preserved historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a labyrinth of narrow cobblestone streets lined with elegant palaces, churches, and Venetian-era buildings. Set on a small island connected to the mainland by bridges. Trogir boasts stunning views of the sparkling turquoise waters of the Adriatic Sea.
Continuing our journey, we'll head to the hills of Primosten to Jurlinovi Dvori, a traditional country homestead dating from the 18th century. Stone houses with stone roofs encircle a courtyard shaded by a grape trellis. The houses contained vintage furnishings, tools, looms, musical instruments, and farm implements.
Built in the 18th century, Jurlija's Court served as the home of a Primosten laborer. This family compound, constructed entirely from local stone, stands as a testament to both local architecture and a fascinating bygone way of life. Explore the well-preserved kitchen, sleeping quarters, chapel, garden, vineyard, and even the treasury, each offering a glimpse into the daily routines and rich history of this Croatian homestead.
Leave everything to us! Transportation, Andreas, our private guide for the day in Trogir and Jurlinovi Dvori, and even delicious homemade snacks at Jurlinovi Dvori are all included. Price: only $95 USD pp.

Review from Tripadvisor: A family-run Croatian tavern in the old town of Sibenik, where the variety of traditional regional recipes offered according to the product of the day stands out. To sample various dishes, we ordered mussels, pasta and grilled tuna, all of which were exquisite. The quality of their cuisine is accompanied by excellent, yet friendly customer service. Since they work with fresh, daily produce, it is advisable to go early (they do not accept reservations) in order to enjoy everything on the menu. Pelegrini

This Michelin-starred restaurant is considered one of the best in Croatia, offering innovative and exquisite Dalmatian cuisine.
Located in the heart of Šibenik, in 700-year-old Villa Pelegrini-Tambača, a building with Renaissance origins next to St. James cathedral. Chef Rudolf Štefan, who always makes sure that he comes to say hello to guests at the end of their meal, takes time to search out local produce: he produces a dozen wines in partnership with the best wine producers in the region, produces his own olive oil and, for the most part, uses fish and meat from Šibenik and its surrounding region.
His six-course tasting menu showcases a modern version of traditional Dalmatian cuisine, with interesting, creative touches and beautiful presentation. One of the house specialities is the pasta with duck, which features slow-cooked slices of duck breast accompanied by a creamy pecorino sauce, confit duck breast and slices of celery that add a fresh and acidic flavour – a traditional dish that has been skilfully reinterpreted. The interesting wine list has more than 500 different labels.
