Students participated in 2022 Grace Hopper Celebration continued...
This year, Kailey Bergeron (sophomore), Callie Marshall (junior) and Alaa Alshawi (junior) participated.
Bergeron stated: “The Grace Hopper Conference was an incredible opportunity that I am grateful to have experienced and attended,” and Alshawi added, “Getting to know these powerful and unique women in technology and industry is a motivational reminder that I can do it.”
The Department of Computer Science has supported female students’ participation in this annual conference since 2015. Recipients of the UNO Scholarship for Women in Computer Science, funded by alumna Sabrina Farmer, also attend as part of that award.
