Dr. Scott Phillips continued ...
Dr. Phillips earned his Master of Healthcare Management from UNO and his Doctorate of Business Administration from Chapman Graduate College of Business. A retired U.S. Military medic, Phillips made his homecoming to UNO to recenter his career and teach the future leaders in healthcare management that healthcare should be patient-focused rather than driven by physicians. As he states, “Listening to the voice of the patient” has been lost in the practice recently.
Returning to New Orleans after traveling across 27 countries throughout his career, Phillips says that our city has “people and pizzazz no one else has,” and after being back home for a while, he says, “I hope to stay as long as they’ll have me.”
