With his Ph.D. in finance from the University of Iowa and his MBA from Indiana State University, he teaches in both the MBA program and at the Ph.D. level in corporate finance. His current research is focused on “addressing old corporate finance questions using new, more granular data.” Focusing on pharmaceuticals, he looks at product-level marketing data to allow for “deeper insights and more informative relationships between competition and innovation [using] breakthrough designation.”
Originally from Jordan, he considers Iowa to be his home. Although, after starting his position at UNO and living in New Orleans with his new wife, he’s “appreciative to be here” and believes NOLA is turning into his new home.
