Grace Hopper Celebration continued ...
Thanks to support from the College of Sciences and Computer Science alumna Sabrina Farmer, the students - Alaa Alshawi, Kailey Bergeron, Lenaoria Guerin and Christina Scavo – were exposed to one of the world’s largest gatherings for careers in technology. Cristina Scavo said, “Attending the Grace Hopper Celebration was incredibly rewarding. Being in an environment amidst so many strong women boosted my confidence and appreciation for the women in my life. At the conference, I attended panels and met with recruiters at Nintendo, The Walt Disney Company and Dreamhaven, an independent game development studio. I am currently in the process of interviewing for a technical internship with Disney!”
