GNOu Summit Conference continued ...
Dr. DJ Min, chair of marketing and management, professor Jaimee Carreras and UNO Provost Dr. Darrell Kruger attended the conference.
Speakers presented on “industry trends, workforce needs and exploring opportunities to network with industry and education leaders from the state’s most valuable sectors.” Businesses from across the state and region are producing the needed talent for industry growth, and students need to be educated in applicable fields and skills.
Professor Jaimee Carreras remarked, "The conversation is important. Education needs to adapt to the change in demands,” referring to the highlight of the conference. “Unpacking” the student experience has been the goal—to make sure students are getting exactly what they need out of degrees, internships and certifications across industry and education systems.
