Mrs. Habetz, who received her MBA from UNO, has over two decades of experience in the financial industry and holds a range of prestigious qualifications, including an MBA, CLF®, CLU®, LUTCF®, and ChFC®.
With extensive professional knowledge, she now oversees the market development of eight district offices in Louisiana and Mississippi and is proudly one of only six women of 70+ total managing partners for the company. Mrs. Habetz states, “I am humbled and honored to receive this award, [and] to be recognized as a young distinguished alumna for my achievements in the professional world is truly a highlight to my career.” As she transitions from managing director to managing partner/CEO, she says her mission “in her job is to be the premier financial planning firm in Louisiana and Mississippi [and] in the community, to be a partner by dedicating time to give back through the firm’s time, talents and treasures.” Ultimately, as an avid community servant, she says, “My goal is for everyone to have a plan.”
Originally from Lafayette, Mrs. Habetz moved to New Orleans to attend UNO. On graduating with her MBA in 2005, the year of Hurricane Katrina, she says, “Something I learned through my experience while attending UNO is resiliency.” She continued, “Being a UNO alumna has helped me to deepen the connections and relationships that I have made over the years residing in New Orleans. UNO alumni have a deep-rooted pride in the city and a value of resiliency like nowhere else I have experienced.”
